The first event organized by Students For Liberty Romania, held together with Liga Pașopt. The conference examined the economic and social context that led to the collapse of the communist regime, focusing on austerity, workers' unrest, and the decisive moments of December 1989.
Bogdan Glăvan addressed the communist system's inability to escape continuous economic stagnation. Alexandru Groza discussed nostalgia and how education from that era still shapes Romania today. Andrei Ursu delivered a two hour chronological account of the regime's fall.
